Biography
Steven Suminski, principal trombone
Mr. Suminski is a recent product of the renowned music program at University of Southern California, where he received the Robert Marsteller Award for outstanding brass performance. He has played principal trombone with the Los Angeles Symphonic Camarata, the National Repertory Orchestra in Colorado, the National Orchestra Institute Philharmonic in Maryland, and the Philharmonie der Nationen in Germany, as well as the Riverside Philharmonic and the Santa Monica Orchestra in Southern California. As a founding member of Brass Pacifica, he was First Prize winner of the 2001 Georgia International Brass Quintet Competition and has extensive chamber music experience, including a nine-month residency with Chamber Music America's NEA-sponsored Rural Residency program.
