Deborah Kramer, bassoon

Deborah Kramer is a familiar face in Bay area musical groups. In addition to being the Principal Bassoonist of Symphony Silicon Valley since its inception, she was a member of the former San Jose Symphony beginning in 1982. She is currently Principal Bassoonist with orchestras of Opera San José, Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley, and Oakland East Bay. She also plays as a substitute musician with all of the major performing groups in the SF Bay Area.

Ms. Kramer has been a soloist with San Jose Symphony, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, and Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra.

Her main teachers have been Jerry Dagg (San Francisco Opera Orchestra) at California State University at Hayward, and Stephen Paulson (San Francisco Symphony)
